Avoiding and Resolving Lactation Struggles in the First Months

This one-day virtual seminar will help participants better support families in reaching their infant feeding goals. Around 90% of families want to breastfeed, but in the first weeks, common challenges such as engorgement, latching issues, or worries about low milk supply cause them to wean. Being able to provide anticipatory guidance and support while troubleshooting these challenges when they occur can greatly increase a family’s chances of success. The latest research will be reviewed and shared through presentations, discussions, and activities. Participants will leave the seminar with the skills to help families avoid and resolve possible common challenges with nursing in the first weeks.
