This workshop delves into the systems that can help parents and DBEs feel successful in their breastfeeding journey. New topics have been added and returning topics have been enhanced including the DBE Forum for discussion and idea sharing.

This course is available to current and aspiring DBEs in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio or Wisconsin. Completion of USDA Level 4 training would be helpful but not required.
Due to high demand, this year’s OA Grant trainings will be limited to primarily WIC Staff. For more information, please contact MWRtrainings@mphi.org.
- Describe the importance of the DBE position in WIC Clinic function.
- Identify six infant conditions which will affect milk transfer.
- List four protocols necessary for relactation and inducing lactation.
- Identify the appropriate use of supplemental feeding devices.
- Describe appropriate support measures for exclusively pumping mothers.
- Develop two new strategies to prioritize your time as a DBE.

The deadline for registration is two weeks before the start of the training. All registrants will be placed on a short waitlist until approved by the Midwest region breastfeeding coordinators.
